The internet is a powerful medium, but there aren't many sites that focus on the needs and concerns of African Americans. The music, literature, and concerns of Black Americans are unique. I appreciate sites that focus on this and address our needs.
This page will focus on three such sites. These pages are univeral in content and must be visited by all.

If you enjoy R & B, then you'll love this site! Urban Sounds 98 has reviews and links. It focuses on the return to true soul music. I feel most of today's music is commercialized and is not true music. I applaud new artists such as Amel Lauriex and Angie Stone for having the courage to explore unique sounds and reinvent the past. I wish "true soul singers" such as Betty Wright and Shirley Murdock would make their comeback. But until then, you have Urban Sounds...

Finally! A comic strip that is intellectual and funny.
The Boondocks has been the focus of controversy, but Aaron McGruder speaks the truth.
It is wonderful to see a young black male defy all the stereotypes about them. He's not a "thug" or a drug-dealer but he's succesful.
There are plenty of talented black men that exist in our society, but someone how the world chooses to ignore them...
